Navigate to Evmos Mission Control

The first thing you should do is go to the Evmos mission control site. From here, you can check the eligibility of your wallets and claim the airdrop.

https://gotrekt.com/mission-control

Click on the CONNECT WALLETicon at the top right of the mission control site. Look for the blue arrows on the screen shot below:

You will then be asked if you want to connect Keplr or Metamask. Keplr is the wallet that is used for the Cosmos Ecosystem and Metamask is the wallet that is used for the Ethereum ecosystem. If you need help with Keplr, please see our Using the Keplr Wallet guide.

We highly recommend that you check BOTH your Keplr and Metamask wallets for rektdrop eligibility.

Claiming with Keplr

Click on the Keplr button and you will receive the following popup from Keplr. Go ahead and click the Approve button.

Once you grant access to Keplr the Mission Control website will update and you will see if your account is eligible for the rektdrop. If you are eligible you will be able to click the orange CLAIM YOUR REKTDROP button.

There you have it! Just refresh your browser and you should see the balance in your Keplr wallet!

Claiming with Metamask

Click on the Metamask button and you will receive the following popup from Metamask. Go ahead and click the NEXT button and then the Connect button.

Once you grant access to Metamask, the Mission Control website will update and you will see if your account is eligible for the rektdrop. If you are eligible you will be able to click the orange CLAIM YOUR REKTDROP button.

That was easy, you should be able to see your evmos coins in your metamask wallet.

Staking with a Validator

Since Evmos is an EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) your evmos coins exist on both the Ethereum chain and the Evmos-Cosmos chain at the same time. The validators only exist on the Cosmos side of Evmos, so you will need to stake from Keplr. If you need help with Keplr, please see our Using the Keplr Wallet guide.

Simply click here to delegate to the Artifact validator

You will need to enter the amount that you want to stake and then you will be prompted to either enter your password or connect and sign with your Ledger.

That’s it! Happy staking! 🥩🥩🥩

A quick note for all the ETH maxis out there!

You probably just got sucked into the Cosmos ecosystem from the rektdrop. Haha, we Cosmos people finally got our hands on you! 😈

In all seriousness, don’t worry this will be easy. You don’t need to bridge any coins over or do anything special other than install the Keplr browser plugin. Evmos “knows” about the Ethereum side of things because it is an EVM. Evmos didn’t just wrap itself around Ethereum, it extended itself into it. Both chains are essentially one chain now.

You can take a look at our Using the Keplr Wallet guide if you need help with Keplr.

Also, if you are new to the Cosmos ecosystem you really need to learn about Osmosis if you haven’t already. Osmosis is the main Cosmos DEX and it is very much like Uniswap, 1Inch, or Sushi Swap. You can bond coins to liquidity pools as well, if that is more your style. Check out our Purchasing and Staking Osmosis guide.
